With Paola Santiago - PS Product Person Founder Series
Good Morning, fellow Leader 🚀
Welcome to this special edition of The Leader's Chronicles, where my goal is to share resources and ideas on a specific topic, always featuring a contribution from a guest author.
Today, I have the pleasure of introducing

This new powerful tool called “Artificial Intelligence” might be the next big revolution in the workplace and how it will impact the next quarter of the century. The abilities we can now pull out of these new tools are still in their infancy, and it’s hard to predict how they will evolve in the next couple of years. However, one truth remains: The Human factor is still part of this equation. I am inviting you to read what Paola has to say on this subject, and her insight into bringing AI to our day-to-day and how we are using these tools.
Hey there! I’m Paola, I’m a product management consultant who’s helped develop and launch startup products and government tools across the UK, US, and Canada.
I’ve built from scratch in fast-moving startups and shipped white-labelled platforms for public systems. On Substack, I break down how tech shapes people’s lives, through a sociological lens and a practical product lens. It’s about making software more human... and still moves towards your KPIs.
Product management is a shapeshifter role. What works in a Series A startup often doesn’t work in a slow-moving agency or a politically complex enterprise. That’s why cookie-cutter frameworks, while well-intentioned, tend to fall flat. They rarely consider key factors like:
1. How many resources do you actually have?
2. Is your C-suite data-driven, or do they push vision over validation?
3.Are you navigating urgency, stability, or stakeholder optics?
And when you’re juggling all of that, it’s easy to feel behind on evolving tech trends, especially when trying to make sense of what really matters for your users, your product, and your roadmap.
That’s why I write. My articles break down complex tech topics while grounding them in real-world product constraints. If you’ve ever felt like you’re stuck between “ideal world” theory and your very messy org chart, you’re definitely not alone.
Here are a couple that might resonate:
Back to me!
I am very cautious on this particular subject, because it’s a brand new world and we are still learning how to navigate this sea of uncertainty. However, I have written two articles about this topic based on demos and studies that I had access to, and I shared them with you in the articles below.
Believe it or not, there is a significant number of IT leaders who are not paying attention to the AI Revolution. Even people who are taking the PMP exam recently have a “standard” opinion without any clear distinction in their analysis about the impact of AI in Leadership. Which means that Leaders who are paying close attention will have an edge like no other in the near future. It’s important to understand how AI works under the hood and how we can use it to our benefit. I will prepare another article on AI and Leadership soon, but below are the existing articles on the subject.
To conclude this edition, a big thank you to Paola for this collaboration! Find the link to her newsletter below.
